Evening castle ruins wedding inspired by One Thousand and One Nights

In the ancient, very ancient times, when people and princes still believed that stars hung on iron hooked nails and the Earth was as flat as a pancake, there lived a king, who became fond of a beautiful girl named Shahrazad…

The One Thousand and One Nights' inspired evening fairytale wedding was a truly spectacular experience. Just imagine the bedouin tents, stars hanging everywhere, old castle ruins and mystical atmosphere that made the whole event truly unforgettable.

Dominika and Erich found the perfect balance. Literally perfection in imperfection. Thanks to all the various antique and trifles, swaying stars, different kinds of lights, teepee altar, and old castle ruins, the venue seemed fairytale-like and almost mysterious. It was a concert of eclecticism.

Since we really fell in love with the whole fabulous wedding concept, we felt the need to add a little more stardust to spice up their wedding video. We asked Dominika to read a beautiful rhymed part of the Czech book adaptation written by František Hrubín, which she got as a gift on the wedding day.

The couple was absolutely thrilled with everything that was happening around them, such as how many people came together for them. They refused almost all the repetitive wedding habits to simply have fun, enjoy it their way and spend the day especially with friends and family.

Everyone was looking forward to the ceremony, but nobody was in a hurry. The guests took a gentle step toward the wedding altar with glasses in hand, and waited patiently for the sunset, the groom, and the bride. The emotional ceremony culminated in a form of Scottish bagpipes as a surprise and the guests were following the piper back to the Bedouin tent where the concert and the evening party began.

WEDDING PLANNER VERONIKA (WE CONCEPT) SAID:

The first meeting with Dominika and Erich made me realize, that their wedding will be extraordinary. Dominika’s energy mixed with Erich's nobleness and generosity was an incredible experience for me altogether. As they began to reveal to me their dreamy wedding concept, my enthusiasm and desire was rising more and more, and I fully supported them to stick to their beautiful vision. I loved the idea of ‘ a reverse wedding', to welcome guests with a wedding cake, to dine and to toast to “love” before the ceremony itself accompanied by candles, lanterns and lots of fairy lights. It was a dramatic, unique day full of surprises that I will never forget.

…As the evening fell, the diners raised up, only the king remained and with him, the beautiful Shahrazad.
